Sales Manager Marking Services, Inc - Seattle, WA

Are you a curious and inquisitive sales person that builds your book of business by relationship selling and adding value for the customer?

If so, our Sales Manager opportunity may be for you. This role is responsible for soliciting new and growing existing business within a Seattle-based territory.  As a single source supplier, MSI (www.markserv.com) delivers labeling services and a comprehensive range of superior identification products such as pipe marking process, valve tags, equipment labels and safety signs to commercial construction contractors for enhanced safety communication. The Key Position Responsibilities are:

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Research and gather project information from database; plan targeted sales approach for each call with focus on specification requirements and MSI’s value proposition.
  • Plan and execute sales activities to develop new project opportunities and expand relationships within accounts by calling on job sites and office sites. 
  • Effectively communicate specific project and/or order requirements to inside sales partner and technical staff, as necessary.
  • Partner with customers as a trusted advisor by establishing, maintaining and growing a long term business relationship.
  • Familiarize and demonstrate to customers MSI products, services and developments, continually emphasizing our value proposition.
  • Prepare and deliver formal presentations to customers.  Attend and assist with preparations for trade shows.
  • Keep the company informed on competitive products, promotional matters, sales techniques, pricing, and market changes.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on activities, sales volume, expenses, etc.

Desired Skills and Experience

If you have these Qualifications we want to hear from you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Marketing or related technical degree
  • Strong ability to understand technical concepts and systems
  • 5 years progressive experience in business to business sales
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Must be a self-starter and self-directed with the ability to independently manage time and projects
  • Proficient in MS Office products

These qualities would be great and are the Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related technical field or construction discipline
  • Constantly networking to build relationships and sales opportunities
  • Effective presentation skills, negotiation skills and ability to influence customers decisions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibits exceptional organizational skills, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Consistently accepts responsibility and meets deadlines, ability to achieve results when confronted with obstacles.
